 | Our WholeSchool Self Evaluation has been developed to automate the manually intensive process of Department evaluation. It was quickly identified that the tool should be created to be a general purpose flexible resource to support all departmental and personal (teacher) evaluation activities. Again there is a statutory requirement across the UK for Self Evaluation and continuous improvement of teaching staff. The WholeSchool service will provide an elegant on-line solution for teachers. The software provides the facility to dynamically create on-line evaluation surveys and to map results to a series of user/advisory defined actions for improvement. The tool fundamentally improves the self evaluation process of schools, educators and inspectors/advisors as the convenience of the facility can support a ‘continuous improvement‘ process that can be monitored remotely by time constrained advisors. A range of Management Information tools will support analysis and comparison of results on a regional, school, department; down to teacher level if necessary. As well as formal department evaluation purposes, when the power of the software is demonstrated it is also clear that the tool will be useful for a complete range of other ‘general purpose; evaluation activities. Schools are required to continuously monitor feedback on the operation of the school from; the ‘success of the school play’ to the quality of the ‘school meal’. To date much of the evidence is gathered manually, can be ad-hoc and is of a colloquial nature. With our Evaluation tool this process can be much improved and can ‘draw in’ and present instantly, automated results from a complete range of target groups (including pupils) on a regular basis.
